Biodiesel is better!

Better for our Health! Biodiesel reduces particulate emissions that cause lung health problems.  Biodiesel is less toxic and less likely to catch on fire accidentally.  Pure B-100 is the only fuel to be deemed non-toxic at any level— 10 times less toxic than table salt.  It even is milder on your skin than soap and water solutions!  Biodiesel smells better than regular heating oil, too!

Better for your Heating System!  Biodiesel contains virtually no sulfur, and sulfur is the leading cause of maintenance issues in home heating systems.  Using a blend of 20% biodiesel and 80% regular heating oil can increase burner life and reduce maintenance costs.

Better for the Environment!  Biodiesel produces fewer sulfur dioxide emissions that cause acid rain.  It also produces less carbon dioxide, the leading contributor to global climate change.  When used in home heating systems, a 20% biodiesel blend produces less nitrogen dioxide, which causes smog.  And because biodiesel is non-toxic and biodegrades quickly, it is less harmful to the environment if spilled.

Better for the USA!  Biodiesel comes from American farms and restaurants, not foreign countries or fragile eco-systems.  Every gallon of biodiesel we use brings us closer to energy independence.  Biodiesel is renewable, putting us on a path for a sustainable economy and keeps our energy dollars in America creating jobs around the country.  We are also working towards the day when we can get more biodiesel from recycled grease recovered from restaurants in our region. This will reduce pollution and keep more of our energy dollars in the region.
